Vivien is fluently trilingual and possesses three degrees in Psychology, Criminology and Counseling specializing in Mental Health. During her time in the USA, Europe, Taiwan and HK, Vivien worked with various NGOs and church organizations that serve children, marginal youth and underprivileged families. Prior to settling down in Hong Kong, Vivien relocated frequently and is therefore, fully aware of the impact of growing up in a globalized world while navigating life as a “Third-Culture Kid”. She helps clients find their own identity and sense of belonging as expatriates, and overcome cross-cultural challenges as a foreigner.
As a Mental Health Counselor, Vivien focuses on helping clients with their emotional struggles and finding healthier ways to channel their inner needs. She adopts a client-centered approach in her practices and helps clients reach their unlimited potentials at their own pace. She is also a holistic practitioner who embodies somatic experiences that align with clients’ spiritual preferences and beliefs. Vivien sees every individual as unique and should be valued highly with integrity, compassion and care.
Vivien believes that every individual should be treated equally and have access to therapy regardless of their backgrounds. She is open to working with clients from all walks of life, as nothing is too taboo to discuss with her. At the moment, Vivien offers special rates to clients who have difficulty affording therapy. She offers sessions in Cantonese, Mandarin and English, both in person and online (by appointment only). To learn more about Vivien, you can visit her profile at PsychologyToday.
