The South China Morning Post asked Meeta Gupta Hari and others to discuss the mental health benefits of journaling and expressing ourselves through writing in this article.
“Journaling and writing is a powerful tool to process our emotions and make sense of them,” says Meeta Gupta Hari, a mental health counsellor at Lifespan Counselling in Hong Kong. “It can be a massive help to process difficult events and create a coherent narrative about them. This raises our self-awareness and enables us to detect unhealthy patterns in our thoughts and behaviours.”
Meeta is available to assist children and adolescents on a wide range of issues including counselling for stress, anxiety, peer pressure, and academic stress.
